Small things that bring a smile in the last couple of days:
- When I checked into the hotel, I walked in behind a man checking in. The attendant asked if I was his wife.
- I introduced myself to a stranger as “April” (actually I said I am changing my name to April)
- Women walking by smile at me. I am sure they see me as a fellow woman. Men tend to ignore me more, especially if they are with a female companion,
- I got a wrong number text from some random woman in Seattle. We talked back and forth a bit and I “admitted” I was a woman.
